The Hastings Branch was established in 2006 and is based in Port Macquarie, with members also in Laurieton, Kew, Kempsey and South West Rocks.

Since the 2010 Federal election, Port Macquarie has seen a lot of activity regarding climate change policy development.

Port Macquarie's Walk Against Warming in November 2007

In 2007, Hastings Branch member Ian Oxenford was trained by Al Gore as a Climate Presenter.

The Hastings Branch has used the Footprint-o-meter (developed by the Clarence Branch, with funding from the NSW Government's Climate Action Program) at markets and expos in the region.
